Algerian Flag Description
The national flag of Algeria has two sections. The left section is green and the right section is white. The middle contains a symbol that resembles a crescent moon and a five-pointed star.
Green often represents the Islamic religion and the white section represents purity. The red on the flag represents the blood shed in a struggle for independence.
